For Bruce Nauman, drawing is an essential part of his working process and integral to the development of his projects. The artist has commented that, "I do drawings to work the pieces out, to figure out how to proceed". In this drawing for the floor sculpture 'Enforced Perspective' (also held in ARTIST ROOMS) the artist plays with the positioning of steel slabs, considering their impact in the surrounding space. Including annotations such as "End to End and Side by Side pairings … 14 combinations", the diagram also reveals the diversity of this installation, which can be rearranged into different formations.
