          最近,在推特上看到@yin lab發(fā)布的這幾本推薦的神經(jīng)科學(xué)入門書(shū)籍,非常有用。

          I'm often asked to recommend neuroscience books for 1st year grad students or those with limited background in neuroscience. Here are a few books I know.

          intro textbook: I prefer older editions of From Neuron to Brain by Nicolls et al. It's not too big and focuses only on the fundamentals. Intuitive explanations of basic concepts. Probably the easiest intro for serious students.

          Best intro to neuroanatomy is Swanson's Brain Architecture. Surprisingly readable and deep.

          A good textbook on neurophysiology is the one by Gordon Fain. This is the one I used as a grad student. Fain writes well.

          Synapses by Cowan et al. This is a more specialized collection of reviews from various experts. All the contributors tried hard and the quality is uniformly high. Not the most up-to-date, but still useful .
