布魯斯?查特文（Bruce Chatwin）

1940年生于英國(guó)謝菲爾德一個(gè)中產(chǎn)階級(jí)家庭，曾是蘇富比歷史上最年輕的董事之一。1972年起任職于《星期日時(shí)報(bào)》，之后突然以一封電報(bào)宣告，即將出發(fā)去展開他人生的新旅程：“去巴塔哥尼亞六個(gè)月。”這趟旅程啟發(fā)查特文完成他的首部作品《巴塔哥尼亞高原上》，這本書出版后獲得英國(guó)“豪森登獎(jiǎng)”及美國(guó)“佛斯特獎(jiǎng)”的青睞。查特文將現(xiàn)實(shí)與想象結(jié)合在一起的寫作方法，被《衛(wèi)報(bào)》評(píng)論為“本書重新定義了旅行寫作”。
