與彎果杜鵑的區(qū)別：葉片近于圓形，長4-6厘米，寬3.5-4厘米，花絲常無毛?；ㄆ?-6月，果期9-10月。
產(chǎn)云南西北部、西藏東部。生于海拔3 000-3 700米的山坡灌木叢中。緬甸東北部也有分布。模式標本采自緬甸。
