本亞種與原亞種的區(qū)別為花萼較小，退化或短于2毫米；葉頂端圓鈍，具小突尖，葉下面兩色鱗片以紅褐色的顯著；花柱稍短于雄蕊?；ㄆ?-7月，果期8-9月。
產(chǎn)青海南部、四川西南至西北部、云南西北部，西藏東部及東南部。生于山坡灌叢草地、巖坡、高山草原、高山杜鵑灌叢、云杉林下、沼澤地及崖石空地，海拔3 200-5 400米。模式標(biāo)本采自云南瀾滄江與金沙江分水嶺的摩頂嶺。
